itsowl-TT-skala: Multisensorbasierte Kontrolle der Kommissionierung in einem automatischen Kleinteilelager

The Hoffschmidt Engineering GmbH & Co. KG is developing its first automatic small parts storage, also referred to as a storage tower. Until now it has been presented on fairs and some customers have already been recruited. In order to achieve a successful market entry and to establish the Hoffschmidt Engineering brand, it is necessary to obtain an advantage in technology. For this, a multisensory system for the monitoring of the commissioning process has to be developed at the storage system’s goods terminal. State of the art approaches are only focussing on the commissioning speed and the information provision to the order picker. A lot of errors during the picking or the warehousing process of goods are not detected. The manual input of information may also lead to errors. In this area there is great potential to improve the error detection and the workflow in terms of time and costs.
