9th Annual Colloquium "Communication in Machine Vision - BVAu" on 5 November 2024
BVAu 2024 is the ninth annual colloquium of the Institute for Industrial Information Technology (inIT) at the Technische Hochschule Ostwestfalen-Lippe, which focuses on the latest developments and technologies in image processing in the context of industrial automation. The aim of the event is to present emerging trends, research findings and application-orientated results. The BVAu thus provides a forum for discussion between industry and science. The colloquium is supported by the "Initiative Industrielle Bildverarbeitung OWL" and the Kompetenzzentrum Arbeitswelt.Plus.
Thematic focus
- Image processing on resource-limited hardware
- Machine learning and deep learning in image processing
- Real-time image processing
- Visual Quality Inspection
- Multispectral Imaging

15th Annual Colloquium "Communication in Automation - KommA" on 6 November 2024 at the Innovation Campus in Lemgo.
KommA is the forum for science and industry in German-speaking countries for all technical/scientific issues relating to industrial communication.
This year, Eberhard "ebbse" Wahl, Managing Director of Trumpf Tracking Technologies, will give the keynote speech. He will speak about the new OMLOX standard as a cross-manufacturer localisation system. Eberhard Wahl has focussed on innovations in the area of tension between market pull and technology push. He has already successfully accompanied various technology changes and initiated a large number of new products.
"The 15th edition of KommA will once again feature very interesting specialist contributions - and with the Innovation Campus Lemgo, we are offering an inspiring environment for the event," promises Prof. Dr. Jürgen Jasperneite from the Institute for Industrial Information Technology of TH OWL. This year, current topics such as TSN, 5G, cybersecurity and much more are on the agenda.
As usual, there will also be plenty of time for networking and developing new project ideas in addition to the specialist presentations. The evening event will once again be a special highlight - with a focus on scientific exchange in a convivial atmosphere - promises the organisation team of the two annual colloquia KommA and BVAu.
The event is organised by the Institute for Industrial Information Technology (inIT) at the Technische Hochschule Ostwestfalen-Lippe, Lemgo, and the Institute for Automation and Communication (ifak) e.V., Magedburg. The event is supported by the Gesellschaft für Informatik and the Informationstechnischen Gesellschaft des VDE.
