It is now just over a year since the starting signal was given for the KI-Marktplatz project. Now the first major milestone was celebrated recently: The platform launch.
"With the KI-Marktplatz, we offer companies a central place to solve their product development challenges with the help of AI. This gives AI providers direct access to their customers," explains Leon Özcan, project coordinator and research associate at the Heinz Nixdorf Institute at the University of Paderborn.
Although the AI marketplace platform was launched on March 26, it will gradually add functionalities as the project progresses. Initially, users will be offered a matching function: Companies can post challenges here, for example, while AI providers create skills profiles. A subsequent matching of challenges with competence profiles brings together suitable platform actors, who can now jointly develop solutions.
In addition, a data check-up from the Data Governance area has been available since the platform launch. Companies can use this to group themselves in a maturity model and find out how they can improve their data management. The inIT employees Alexander Dicks and Mark Funk are significantly involved in this function. "AI in product development has very many advantages: Development capacities are increased, manufacturing costs and development time are in turn reduced, and innovation potential is also increased. Data is always the most important basis for this. We are pleased to contribute to the KI-Marktplatz with our expertise and are proud of what we have achieved so far," says Alexander Dicks on behalf of the company.
