On the occasion of International Women's Day 2023, the Equal Opportunities Office of the Old Hanseatic City of Lemgo organised an event in the CIIT atrium in cooperation with the Equal Opportunities Officer of the Ostwestfalen-Lippe University of Applied Sciences and Arts (TH OWL), the CENTRUM INDUSTRIAL IT (CIIT), the Refugee Aid Lemgo and the Turkish-Islamic Community Lemgo.
At the Market for Opportunities, which took place on 07.03.2023, the inIT was represented by research group leader Natalia Moriz and research assistant Lisa Gebauer. Natalia Moriz has been involved in the re-entry programme for female engineers and scientists at the Ostwestfalen-Lippe University of Applied Sciences and Arts since 2014. Lisa Gebauer explained in detail the study programme in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at TH OWL to interested participants.
Equality as a social goal was the focus of the event and was addressed both at numerous information stands and through interesting contributions. The lecture by the psychologist, speaker and trainer Evelyne Waithira Müller on the topic of "Empowerment for women with a migration background" formed the conclusion of this year's International Women's Day at CIIT.
