At IEEE International Conference on Emerging Technologies and Factory Automation (ETFA‘2016) the paper of Andreas Bunte (inIT), Alexander Diedrich (Fraunhofer Application Center) and Professor Oliver Niggemann (Executive Board, inIT) was awarded the “Best Paper Award in Factory Automation”. An expert committee selected the contribution “Integrating Semantics for Diagnosis of Manufacturing Systems” from the papers submitted. The paper submitted as and the presentation at the conference counted in equal parts for the awarding. The joy was great at inIT in view of the international relevance of the conference: “We are delighted been awarded and that we could inspire the international research environment with our research work”, so Prof. Oliver Niggemann.
Roman Obermaisser (Co-Chair) handed over the award and held the laudatory speech. In total four papers were selected from more than 200 submissions. The other categories were “Best Paper in the field of Emerging Technologies” as well as two “Work-in-Progress Papers”.
ETFA ‘2016 from 6. to 9. September in Berlin was organized by the two research institutes Fraunhofer Application Center Industrial Automation (IOSB-INA) and Institute Industrial IT (inIT).
