This year’s conference focussed on digitisation, Industry 4.0, networks, cyber-physical systems, and artificial intelligence. As in the years before, inIT and Fraunhofer IOSB-INA, both research institutes from Lemgo, were strongly represented. 18 scientists travelled to Torino, contributing essentially to the conference as authors and organisers.
As programme committee member Dr. Lukasz Wisniewski from inIT co-organised the special sessions, Professor Oliver Niggemann was co-chair for the track „Cyber-Physical Systems and Artificial Intelligence“. Dr. Helene Dörksen and Antje Rogalla organised special sessions, too (see also http://ieee-etfa2018.com/accepted_ss.php). Furthermore, many sessions were led by Andreas Bunte, Dr. Helene Dörksen, Marco Ehrlich, Professor Jürgen Jasperneite, Antje Rogalla, and Dr. Lukasz Wisniewski.
In total, 198 regular papers, special session papers, and work-in-progess papers were presented on ETFA. Both institutes were represented by 18 authors with 20 papers – an impressive performance.
