Here, a broad selection of relevant specialist topics was again presented and discussed, including industrial communication technologies, real-time and networked embedded systems as well as Artificial Intelligence for cyber-physical systems in automation. The topics presented by Prof. Jürgen Jasperneite's working group for computer networks therefore fitted in seamlessly here.
For example, inIT employee Maxim Friesen presented his full paper entitled "Network Digital Twins: A Key-Enabler for Zero-Touch Management in Industrial Communication Systems", while inIT colleague André Bröring presented his work-in-progress paper "Evaluation Concept for Prototypical Implementation towards Automated Security Risk Assessments" including a poster.
Maxim Friesen was enthusiastic about the conference: "For me it was the first ETFA participation and it was impressive to see how many high-quality and for us relevant scientific contributions and discussions were held in such a short time."
The small town of Sinaia in Romania's southern Carpathians served as the conference venue this year. The conference was held in the Casino Sinaia, which was built in 1913 and now serves as an international conference centre. Its elegant design adorns the city centre of Sinaia. The next edition of ETFA will take place in Padua, Italy, in 2024, where inIT is expected to be actively involved again.
