WFCS is the most important international conference in the field of Industrial Communication, one of the research focuses of inIT and Fraunhofer IOSB-INA. Two contributions about ongoing research projects were presented to conference participants in Trondheim. Nico Wiebusch, research assistant at inIT, presented a research project from the working group of Professor Uwe Meier with the topic “A Centralized Cooperative SNMP-based Coexistence Management Approach for Industrial Wireless Systems”. The publication of Arne Neumann, Marco Ehrlich, Dr. Lukasz Wisniewski und Professor Jürgen Jasperneite “Towards monitoring of hybrid industrial networks“ was awarded at WFCS’2017 with the best WIP Paper Award. The research work describes a concept for the measuring and evaluating the communication traffic in heterogeneous communication networks of production systems as a base for network management functions in a typical Industry 4.0 environment. Within the scope of the research projects HiFlecs, FIND, TACNET4.0 and FlexSi-Pro the research groups of the two institutes around Professor Jürgen Jasperneite are inter alia working on approaches of the monitoring and management of innovatively complex and heterogeneous industrial networks.
Honored: Best WIP Paper Award of WFCS‘2017 goes to Lemgo
From 31. May to 02. June the international expert conference IEEE World Conference on Factory Communication Systems (WFCS‘2017) took place in Trondheim, Norway. A research team around Professor Jürgen Jasperneite represented inIT and Fraunhofer IOSB-INA at the conference and was thereby very successful: The researchers from Lemgo were awarded with the best WIP Paper Award.
