With Djordje Ilic and Mike Röwekamp already two apprentices have successfully completed their training at inIT. Near his final exam is Markus Brüning, who started his apprenticeship as an Information Clerk in 2015. He resumes: “I especially like that I can combine a commercial training with my hobby – technical activities. OWL University offers many insights in different fields and excellent training possibilities. The highlight of my apprenticeship definitely was contributing to Hanover Fair and presenting our field of research to interested visitors.” Markus Brüning will take up the study “Technical Informatics” at OWL University after completing the apprenticeship.
Since 2015 Marvin Hermanns is trained as an IT Specialist – Application Development at inIT. Before he attended secondary school. “I applied for the training because of my personal interest in IT and system development and the recommendation of relatives. I also liked participation in Hanover Fair 2016 and the works outings with my colleagues.” Marvin Hermanns plans to make up his vocational baccalaureate diploma and to take up studies.
Sebastian Krüger is also since 2015 an apprentice at inIT. He works as an IT Specialists – System integration after finishing secondary school. “Already at vocational school I liked repairing and finding solutions for computer problems very much and developed a strong interest in this field of activities.” In the future he wants to work as an IT specialist. He was also impressed by Hanover Fair.
Marcel Stark started his apprenticeship Information Clerk – Application Development at inIT in 2016. The major part of his apprenticeship will take place at SmartFactoryOWL of OWL University and Fraunhofer IOSB-Ina. “I have always wanted to program and to work with PCs. A special highlight for me was the FactoryHack2017 – I did the programming for a huge LED wall.” After his Abitur, Marcel started studying computer sciences, but decided for a practical apprenticeship instead. Marcel wants to work in IT later on.
In August 2017 Neda Behfar started her apprenticeship as an Information Clerk at inIT. “After I came from Iran to Germany I wanted to take root at the commercial sector in Germany. The apprenticeship at inIT is an ideal opportunity for me to develop and to pursue my personal interests in IT. I am thankful for this opportunity to combine my professional competence from my previous job with new skills.” In Iran Neda Behfar worked for ten years in an international company that specialized on repairing industrial machines with a focus on antiwear products.

There are further apprenticeships at OWL University, like e.g. carpenter, construction material testers, IT specialists or physics lab technician, who are trained at the various departments or central facilities of OWL University. There is also the possibility to make an apprenticeship in cooperation with a company. Applications for the coming period are possible from autumn 2017 onwards.
