The potential of artificial intelligence is infinite and an important key for innovative and efficient product creation. Strong partners from industry and research are therefore working on a digital marketplace for artificial intelligence in product creation: the AI Marketplace. On this secure platform, users, providers and experts in AI can exchange ideas, place products and obtain solutions.
The project started in February 2020 and now, almost exactly one year later, more precisely on February 23 and 24, 2021, the first milestone meeting took place. For half a day each, the project participants digitally presented their results achieved so far to the project sponsor and the consortium. On the first day, the focus was on the topics of AI in product creation and platform services. In addition, the first day of the milestone meeting included an interactive part with three parallel workshops on the topics "AI Tags", "AutoML" and "Data Check-Up".
The Data Check-Up workshop was conducted by the Institute for Industrial Information Technology (iniT) together with Fraunhofer IEM. "Our workshop was about validating recommended actions for the data check-up service. Because with the platform launch, which will take place on March 26, there will be a data check-up from the field of data governance that companies can use to be grouped in a maturity model," describes Alexander Dicks, research associate at inIT. The so-called Data Governance Maturity Model describes a framework and a methodology for measuring progress within data governance. By participating in the check-up, companies can determine the maturity of their data management and find out how they can improve it.
The second day of the milestone meeting focused on the specification and implementation of the platform and marketing and strategy development. In another workshop, the platform prototype was tested on a functional level.
On March 26, the time will come and the platform will be opened at a virtual launch event.
